Kappel, Michael D. (7 NOV 1954 – 22 SEP 2017)
Michael David Kappel, age 62, of Chili (Clark Co., Wis.), with humble acceptance
of the Lord's will, passed away Friday, September 22, 2017 in the comfort of his
home.
The Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am Friday, September 29, 2017 at St. John
the Baptist Catholic Church, 201 S. Blodgett Street, Marshfield. Father Samuel
Martin will preside. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven cemetery, Marshfield, at a
later date. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 7:00 pm Thursday, September 28,
2017 at the Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home, 1010 East Veterans Parkway,
Marshfield and again from 10:00 am until the time of the Mass Friday at the
church.
Michael was born November 7, 1954 in Marshfield to Lawrence and Donna
(McCulloch) Kappel. He attended St. John's Catholic school and was a graduate of
Marshfield Senior High. Michael was employed at Marshfield Door Systems for over
38 years. He served as President of the Union and as a plant supervisor.
Michael was married to Cheri Kappel Willman, together they had two daughters;
Stacy and Tammy and enjoyed many wonderful years together. They later separated.
On December 13, 2010, he married Marina Pabonita.
He loved spending time at the cabin, hunting, fishing, being by the water,
traveling, gardening, music and spending time with his family. Michael always
was joking around. Michael was a hard worker, craftsman and carpenter. He was a
loving and devoted husband and father and was loved my many and will be missed
by all.
Your love will light our way, your memory will be with us forever.
Survivors include his wife; Marina Kappel, two daughters; Stacy Kappel and Tammy
(John) Prindle, mother; Donna Kappel, two grandchildren; Gage Bach and Ellie
Prindle, siblings; Linda (Joe Sturla) Hutchinson, William "Bill" (Marlene)
Kappel and David (Doreen) Kappel and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father; Lawrence and a brother; Randy.
The family would like to thank Ministry Home Health Hospice for the wonderful
care provided to Michael and his family.
