The new Thorp Public Library, the first building in more than 40 years built in
Clark County exclusively as a Library building, will be dedicated here this
coming Sunday, April 5, 1970, starting at 2 o'clock in the afternoon.
Open House will be held from 3 to 5 p.m.
The building is a gift to the people of the Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) area built
principally with funds provided by Mr. and Mrs. Francis J. Conway.
Built on the southeast side of Thorp and within two blocks of the Thorp High
School, the public library is of attractive, low, modern design. It consist of
three sections which meet to form an entryway and lobby fronting on the street
on the west.
