Bandor, Karen (28 FEB 1970)
Gladiolas and pompons were on the Altar of St. John's Lutheran Church, Withee
for the marriage of Karen Bandor and Jimmie Buss on Saturday, February 28, 1970.
Arthur Hellert performed the 1:30 p.m. double ring ceremony.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Jess Bandor, Davenport, Iowa and Mr. and
Mrs. Bernard Buss, Withee (Clark Co., Wis.).
The bride, given in marriage by her father, chose a floor length empire styled
bridal gown of angel mist taffeta. Vallace ruffles accented the cavalier shaped
sleeves and the jewel neckline forming a jabot highlighting the bodice. The
A-line skirt swept into a chapel train. An open pill box hat secured her
bouffant veil of sheer bridal illusion, and she carried a bouquet of sweetheart
roses, orchid, and baby's breath.
Miss Kerry Byrne was maid of honor, and bridesmaids were Ellen Erickson and Mrs.
Jim Kobylarczyk. They wore floor length dresses of moss green velvet, fashioned
with bishop sleeves and high neckline accented with ecru Venice lace.
Harmonizing veils were secured to profile bands of satin and velvet for their
headpieces, and each carried bouquets of pompons.
Fred Baehr was best man and groomsmen were Don Buss and Jim Kobylarczyk. Ushers
were Marvin Buss and Mike Zubal.
A reception at four p.m. was held at the Thorp Legion Hall, where a dance was
held.
