L-Cpl. Donald E. Pawlak, USMC, has been assigned to a 1,700 man landing team,
9th Marine Regiment, 3rd Division. Being aboard the ship U.S.S. Tripoli, will
consist several training amphibious landings, Okinawa Waters, Philippines, Hong
Kong and other interesting Asiatic ports. This is not classified as a peacetime
cruise, it is to be prepared for employment as an amphibious force anywhere in
the western Pacific.
