Wendt, Alice (Schimmelpfennig) (24 APR 1922 - 20 SEP 2017)

Alice Wendt, 95, of Medford, formerly of Mequon passed away on Sept. 20, 2017, at Care Partners Assisted Living in Medford where she resided under the care of Asera Care.

Funeral service was Wednesday, Sept. 27 at 1 p.m. at the Mueller Funeral Home & Crematory in Cedarburg. Interment took place at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Cemetery, Freistadt. Visitation was on Wednesday, from 11 a.m. until the time of service.

Alice was born on April 24, 1922, in Milwaukee, the daughter of the late Louis and Hattie (Luedtke) Schimmelpfennig. During her life, Alice was an avid genealogist and was involved in volunteer work at Concordia University, in Mequon.

Alice is survived by her three sons, Thomas (Nancy), Gerald (Patricia), and Richard (Cindy) Wendt, all of Rib Lake. She is further survived by her six grandchildren, Lisa (Mark) Gall, Stephanie (Randy) Smith, Lara (Daryl) Kistenmacher, Jair Wendt, Richelle Wendt and Renee Wendt; 7 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Along with her parents, Alice is preceded in death by her two brothers, Harry and Louis Jr., and husband, Alfred “Ollie” Wendt.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Alice’s name to the American Legion Post #274, in Rib Lake.
