Red Arrow, Company B (’75 Reunion - 1974)
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Kaczor returned home Monday from Parme, Oh, where they attended
a reunion of Company B, Red Arrow Division. They were the only Wisconsin people
in attendance.
Next year, Neillsville will sponsor the reunion.
They were gone for 10 days, and visited an army buddy in Massillon, Oh, and one
in Muncie, In. The latter Joe hadn’t seen since they were in New Guinea.
They report crops in Ohio and Indiana were terrible because of a drought. They
said soybeans looked like they were frozen from dry weather. Corn and oats
didn’t amount to much.
They also visited their daugher, Alice, at Merrillville, In., where she has been
teaching for three years. They also visited his sister, Sophia Spitzoch, a
family, in Chicago, and another daughter, Bonnie, who is employed in West Allis.
They also attended the state fair.
Mrs. Kaczor also reports they had quite a bad hail loss on their farm Wednesday,
August 7, just a couple days after the bad hail storm which hit this area.
Others hit by the hail included Robert Wucki, Ernest Horehled farms and several
others in that area.
