Zukowski, Frank (27 DEC 1896 – 11 APR 1970)
Frank Zukowski, 73, of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), died unexpectedly April 11, 1970
at St. Joseph's Hospital, Chippewa Falls. He was born in Poland on December 27,
1896 and migrated to this country with his parents. He was graduated from the
State Graded School. Mr. Zukowski spent 40 years in Chicago, where he received
his apprenticeship in the machine trade and became an authority in the automatic
screw machine operations of the automatic machines and would be dispatched by
his employer as a consultant to various machine industries. He was married to
Pearl Soderberg on August 28, 1961, and moved to Thorp in 1965.
He is survived by his wife Pearl, son, Calvin, Veterans Hospital, Danville,
Illinois, daughter, Dorothy Sutton, Bellwood, Illinois, and one step-son,
Raymond Soderberg, Thorp.
A general rosary was recited at 8:00 p.m. April 13th. Funeral services were held
Tuesday, April 14 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Bernard's Church, with Reverend Father
Brockman officiating. Burial was in the family lot at St. Hedwig's Cemetery with
Rev. Father Walijewski officiating.
Four brothers and four sisters preceded him in death. He is survived by 22
nephews and nieces.
Pallbearers were: Frank Stroinski, Harry Guinn, Mark Guinn, Ed Wrakowski, Tony
Zaborowski, and Bill Zukowski.
Those who attended the funeral from out of town were: Mr. and Mrs. Fred Sutton,
Bellwood, Illinois; Mrs. Mary Urban; Calvin Zukowski, Danville, Illinois; Mr.
and Mrs. Harry Guinn and son Mark of St. Paul, Mrs. Joseph Sloto and daughter
Dorothy; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Wrakowski of Minneapolis.
