Lesniewski, Anton (10 MAY 1893 – 25 APR 1970)
Funeral services for Anton F. Lesniewski, 76, who passed away Saturday, April
25, 1970 at the Gilman Nursing Home, were held at St. Hedwig's Church, Tuesday,
April 28th. Father Joe Walijewski officiated at the 11:00 a.m. services and
interment was made in the parish cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Donald Rogalski, Chester, Rogalski, Adam Wiater, Joe Panek,
all of Thorp, John Lesneski of Owen and Ed Przybylski of Kenosha.
Mrs. Lesniewski, a retired farmer, was born May 10, 1893 in Pennsylvania, living
one year there, and then 75 years ago coming to Thorp. He was married September,
30, 1930 at St. Hedwig's Church to Helen Jurkowski, who preceded him in death
January of 1954. He also was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Eva
Lesniewski. He was a member of the P.N.A., Group 646 of Thorp.
Surviving are one daughter, Cecilia Przybylski, his son-in-law, Florian
Przybylski, two brothers, Mike Lesniewski of Milwaukee, and Adam Lesniewski of
Thorp; two sisters, (Josephine) Mrs. Mike Graikowski and Mrs. Edna Jasinek, both
of Thorp.
