Krych, Andrew (29 NOV 1880 – 18 APR 1970)
Andrew Krych died at his home in Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) on April 18, 1970, after a brief illness.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, April 21 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Hedwig's Chapel. Father Joe Walijewski officiated.
Andrew Krych was born in Poland and arrived in America at the age of 18.
In 1905 he married Agnes Dudkiewicz at the St. Hedwig's Catholic Church an moved to the farm. He farmed for forty years, then retired and lived in the city until his death.
Andrew was appointed director of Thorp Finance in 1931, and served as a treasurer of the Field School, and secretary of the Polish Alma Mater until 1963.
Surviving are six daughters: Mrs. Theresa Yurkowsky, Mrs. Matt (Ann) Grzenia, Mrs. Joseph (Louise) Sumiec of Chicago; Mrs. Stanley (Dolores) Jackowicz of Minneapolis; Mrs. John (Celia) Sokolski of Green Bay; and Katherine of Thorp; and five sons: Steven, Joseph, Frank, and Leonard, all of Chicago, and Edmund of Minneapolis.
Interment took place at New St. Hedwig's Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers were grandsons: Michael and Tom Krych, David Panek, Mitchel Grzenia, Daniel Sumiec, and Raymond Sokolski.
Persons from out of town who attended the funeral were from Chicago, Minnesota, Green Bay, and Pozen, Illinois.
