Dassow, Clarence Herman (30 APR 1933 - 4 AUG 2007)
Clarence H. Dassow, 74, Medford, died Saturday, August 4, 2007, at Memorial
Nursing Home and Rehab in Medford, where he had resided the past three years,
while under hospice care.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Aug. 8 at Trinity Lutheran Church in
Whittlesey, with Pastor Randall Jeppesen officiating. Interment was at Trinity
Lutheran Church Cemetery in Whittlesey.
Clarence H. Dassow was born April 30, 1933, at Medford, to the late Henry Jacob
and Bertha Minnie (Barkow) Dassow. He attended Whittlesey and Frey Elementary
schools in the Town of Chelsea.
He was previously married and divorced. He farmed in the Town of Chelsea with
his family for many years. He then moved to the City of Medford in 1963 where he
owned and operated his own logging business in the Medford area until his
retirement.
He continued to do woods work in his retirement. He was a member of Trinity
Lutheran Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Ralph in
1956, Donald in 1962 and Hilbert in 2003; and a sister, Elaine Gumz in 2001.
Hemer Funeral Service of Medford assisted the family with arrangements.
