Douthitt, Roseabella “Rose” C. (Czeskleba) Kaehne (18 DEC 1919 - 9 OCT 2017)

Roseabella “Rose” C. Douthitt, 97, of Colonial Center Nursing Home, Colby, a former Medford area resident, passed away on Monday, October 9 at Colonial Center Nursing Home, Colby, where she had resided for the past 4 years.

There will be no services. Interment of her cremated remains will take place at Chelsea Community Cemetery, Town of Chelsea.

Rose was born on December 18, 1919, at Amherst, WI, to Samuel and Williamina (Ristow) Czeskleba. Her first marriage was to Barnabus Kaehne and the second to Weldon Douthitt.

She worked in a nursing home for the blind in Milwaukee and also did home cleaning in Milwaukee for periods of time.

Rose is survived by her daughter, Darlene Douthitt of Owen, 3 grandchildren, December Dawn Irwin, Brian Lyle Irwin and Sean Bruce Irwin, 1 great grandchild, Kahla Irwin and 1 great great grandchild, Mia Rose.

She is predeceased by her parents, Samuel and Williamina (Ristow) Czeskleba, children Ronald “Duane” Kaehne, Barnabus “Sonny” Kaehne, Jr., and Bonnie Irwin, and siblings Berthold, Geraldine, Adelide and Alfrieda.
