Judnic, Harvey R. (31 MAY 1935 - 6 OCT 2017)

Harvey R. Judnic, 82, Township of Greenwood, passed away Friday, October 6, 2017 at Rib Lake Health Care Center surrounded by his loving family.

Harvey was born on May 31, 1935 in the Township of Greenwood to the late Joseph Sr. and Mary (Mauser) Judnic. He married the love of his life Arlene Damrau on September 29, 1962 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Rib Lake, WI. He enjoyed spending time with his wife and family. He also enjoyed country western dancing and movies particularly John Wayne, country music, bird watching and horses.

Harvey bought the family farm in 1958 and farmed until he sold the Dairy section in 1978. He also worked in the woods, Medford Co-Op Feed Department for 9 years, Weathershield, Harvey Company and Foremost Foods. He landed his dream job as an Operator of the Road Grader for the Township of Greenwood. He spent 30 years there until his retirement in 2003.

He was a member of the Central Wisconsin Country Dancers and St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.

Harvey is survived by his wife Arlene Marie Judnic of Township of Greenwood; Children: Daniel Judnic of West Sacramento, CA and Lori Judnic-Kopchinski of Wauwatosa; Granddaughter: Abigail Kopchinski of Wauwatosa; Foreign Exchange Student: Torstein (Asa) Tysklind and his children Nora and Otto of Stockholm, Sweden; Brother: Lester (Marilyn) Judnic of Merrill; Sisters: Angeline Strebig of Medford and Rosal Schilling of Arlington Heights, IL; Sister-In-Law: Marcella Judnic of Medford and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents Harvey is preceded in death by Brothers: Joseph (Esther) Judnic, Carl (Ruth) Judnic, Clarence Judnic; Sisters: 4 month old Mary Judnic, Mary (Tony) Nezval, Betty (Joseph) Imbach; Brother-In-Laws: Clarence Strebig and Rudolph Schilling; Parents-In-Law; Arthur and Theresa Damrau.

A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 PM Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Rib Lake with Pastors James Babbler and Kenneth Bittorf officiating. Visitation will be held St. Peter’s Lutheran Church on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at 9:00 AM until the time of service 12:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Harvey’s family to be designated at a later date.
