Kalmon, James G. (22 SEP 1961 - 10 OCT 2017)

James G. Kalmon, 56, of Medford, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2017 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

James was born on Sept. 22, 1961 in Medford to the late Claire and Carol (Van Der Molen) Kalmon. He attended Brookside Elementary School, Jefferson Junior High and Medford Senior High where he graduated in 1980. He loved photography, was a lifelong Packer fan, an avid musician, loved to play the guitar and just started playing the drums.

James was a long-time employee of Hurd Millwork in Medford, working there from 1980 to 2004. He also worked for Jeld-Wen Windows and Streko Doors.

James is survived by his brothers, Robert (Donna) Kalmon and Donald (Donna) Kalmon, all of Medford and Kenneth (Dorothy) Kalmon of Hatley; one sister, Cindy (Pat) Harmeyer of Saukville; and nieces, Crystal, Mindy and Mandi.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his niece, Jenny Kalmon; and great-niece and nephew, Isabelle and Chase.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 13 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Medford with Father David Neuschwander officiating. Visitation will be held at Holy Rosary Catholic Church on Friday, Oct. 13 from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to James’ family to be designated at a later date.

Hemer Funeral Service of Medford and Rib Lake has been entrusted with arrangements.
