Alan D. "Junce” Langfeldt, 80, Loyal, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 15, 2017, at
Marshfield Medical Center. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., on Friday,

Alan Dale Langfeldt was born on Sept. 11, 1937, in Loyal, to Max and Frances
(nee Rueth) Langfeldt. He was raised and received his education in Loyal,
graduating from Loyal High School in 1956. While in school, Alan began working
for his father's business, Max Langfeldt & Sons Construction. During high
school, he was involved in the school's mascot name change from the Maroons to
the Greyhounds, and was the first president of the Lettermen's Club. On Oct. 5,
1957, he married Barbara C. Fricke at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Loyal. They
resided in Loyal and Alan worked for his father until 1973. He then incorporated
his own business, Langfeldt Farm Building Repair, later forming a partnership
with his son, Patrick. Alan continued to work until the time of his death. He
was a lifetime member of St. Anthony Catholic Church where he was an usher for
many years, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Our Lady of Fatima
Council #4963. Alan was a family-oriented man who especially loved spending time
with his family and grandchildren, loved time spent at "The Shed" with family
and friends, and was known for his quick wit. He was a devoted supporter of the
Loyal Greyhounds and the Green Bay Packers and enjoyed woodworking, building
wooden toys and collecting local memorabilia.
Alan will be dearly missed by his wife of 60 years, Barbara, of Loyal; six
