Boie, Mr./Mrs. Norval (Silver – 16 JUN 1970)
A gathering of approximately two hundred relatives and friends helped Mr. and
Mrs. Norval Boie celebrate their silver wedding anniversary on route 3 Sunday
afternoon and evening. The honored couple began their special day by attending
services at Our Savior's Lutheran Church here with their family. A bouquet of
peach and white carnations , a gift of their children, decorated the altar in
their honor.
At the reception Mrs. Boie greeted their guests wearing a peach colored A-line
dress with matching accessories and a corsage of peach and white carnations. The
groom of twenty-five years ago wore a boutonniere in the lapel of his suit. A
social afternoon and evening was enjoyed and the guests of honor were recipients
of many lovely gifts, greetings and a purse of money.
Buffet style refreshments were served from a table which was centered with a
beautifully decorated anniversary cake in a heart shape by Mrs. Vernon
Lewandowski. Mrs. John Larson and Mrs. John Boie cut and served the cake. Mrs.
Lyle Stelter, Mrs. Dean Boie, and Mrs. Chas. Johnson poured the coffee, and
Shari Larson and Diane Boie presided at the punch bowl Kathie Boie had charge of
the guest book and Janice Boie and Marcie Pawlicki assisted with gifts. There
were many floral bouquets adding to the décor of the home.
The former Mae Graham and Norval Boie were married at Epiphany Lutheran Church
