Anderson, Jerry W. (8 JUN 1950 - 25 OCT 2017)

Jerry W. Anderson, 67, of Medford, passed away on October 25, 2017 at Aspirus Hospital in Wausau.

Jerry was born on June 8, 1950 to Floyd and Crystal (Redwine) Anderson in Medford. He was educated in Medford. After his education he served in the Marines from 1968 until 1972. He married Cathy Krebsbach on December 30, 1972, she survives.

Jerry worked for Wisconsin Equipment for 5 years. He then went on to work at the Taylor County Sheriff’s Department, first as a jailer/dispatcher, then as a deputy, and finally back as a jailer until his retirement. During his time at the Sheriff’s Department he also drove bus and mowed lawn at Tee-HI. In his spare time Jerry enjoyed golfing, scoring a hole in one on hole 2 at Tee-Hi, cribbage, going to the casino, hunting, and fishing.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his daughter Wendy (Pete) Doorn of South Milwaukee, son Chris (Stephanie Quednow) Anderson of Medford and grandchildren Katie and Xak Doorn. He is further survived by his sister Mildred (Bill) Heier of Lublin, brother-in-law Richard Frahmann of Medford, a cousin Clarice Heier of Medford, brothers and sisters in law, and many other nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister Marion.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 30 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Medford with Father Phil Juza officiating. Visitation will take place on Sunday, October 29 at Hemer Funeral Home, Medford from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM, when a rosary service will take place. Visitation will continue of Monday, October 30 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM at Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Jerry’s name may be given to the family for use at a later designation.

Hemer Funeral Service of Medford and Rib Lake has been entrusted with arrangements.
