Among 106 graduates of the Army Officer Candidate School, Ft. Benning, Georgia,
who were commissioned 2nd Lieutenants on June 19, 1970, was Charles E. Jankoski.
Lt. Jankoski was graduate in the upper 20% of his class as a result of his
superior performance in leadership and academics, and was placed on the
commandants list. A certificate attesting to this achievement has been place in
his official records.
Lt. Jankoski will be stationed at Ft. Benning as an instructor in the U.S. Army
Infantry School.
He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Claybourne Jankoski of Stanley, and is married to
the former Gail Papierniak, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Papierniak of Thorp
(Clark Co., Wis.).
