Martin Lillian Marie (27 JUN 1970)
Lillian Marie Martin of Eau Claire, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Martin of
Humbird (Clark Co., Wis.), became the bride of Dennis Ruda of Eau Claire, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Edward Ruda of Bloomer, and grandson of Mr. and Mrs. John Ruda, in
a double ring ceremony performed Saturday, June 27, 1970, at the Humbird United
Methodist Church. The Reverend Ralph Walker officiated at the ceremony, during
which the bride was given in marriage by her father.
The bride's gown had an empire waist, puffed long sleeves, scoop neck,
embroidered bodice and sleeves, and the midriff and full skirt were of heavy
cotton. Her flowers were yellow and white daisy pompom mums.
Kathy Fosberg of Milwaukee, wearing light green and carrying yellow and white
daisy pompom mums, attended the bride. Roland Ehrenberg of St. Paul served as
best man. Raymond Martin of Humbird and James Martin of Beloit ushered the
guests.
At the reception at the American Legion Hall in Humbird, Mrs. Margaret Green had
charge of the guest book. The wedding cake was topped with a centerpiece of
yellow and white flowers.
The newlyweds are living at 460 West Grand in Eau Claire. The bride graduate
from Eau Claire State University in January and has been employed as a layout
artist at the Eau Claire Press Company.
