Headrick, Bette J. (LaMarche) (28 JUL 1936 - 27 OCT 2017)
Bette J. Headrick, age 81 of Stanley, entered into eternal life on Friday,
October 27, 2017 after a six-year battle with Alzheimer's Disease. Bette passed
away peacefully at her daughter Ann's home in Thorp, Wisconsin surrounded by
loved ones under the loving care of Ministry Hospice.
Bette was born on July 28, 1936 in Stanley, the daughter of the late Henry and
Johanna (Sorenson) LaMarche. Bette grew up in the Stanley area and graduated
from Stanley High School in 1954. She then went on to receive her nursing degree
from St. Francis College in
La Crosse, Wisconsin.
On April 4, 1959 she was united in marriage to Raymond Headrick at St. Anne’s
Catholic Church-Stanley. Bette worked for Victory Memorial Hospital for 29 years
and then worked for 15 years for Clark County Health Care Center.
Bette is survived by her children, Mark Headrick of Neillsville, Ann (Bill)
Tollefson of Thorp, Mary (Jim) Hodowanic of Cornell and Jane (Kerry) Langiewicz
of Stanley, 13 grandchildren, Sara (Mack) Schunk, Stacey Sommers, Deeann
Tollefson, Craig (Daniellle) Hodowanic, Ashley
Zacharias, Eric (Kelsey) Hodowanic, Laura (Brian) Wood, Amanda Tollefson, Nicole
Langiewicz, Corey Hodowanic, Josh (Brittney) Langiewicz, Kelsey Langiewicz, and
Lizabeth Ziegler, and 14 great-grandchildren Griffin Wood, Kyle, Samantha,
Annabel, Chloe, and
Edwin Zacharias, Wyatt and Axel Setzer, Brantley and Blake Hodowanic, Landon
Dahl, Sydney Walia, Addison McClelland, Harper Lewien, and many other relatives
and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Raymond, grandson in law
Phillip Zacharias and siblings, Wanda Schesel, Lorraine Thompson, Bernice Haas,
Evelyn Gauger, Wallace and
Vernon LaMarche.
Bette loved spending her summers camping with family and friends at Lake of the
Pines. She treasured time spent with her friends Carol Duce and Betty Smasal
going to water aerobics, McDonald's for a sweet treat, Friday night movies, and
watching Stanley-Boyd sporting
events. She cherished being a long-time member of the Red Hat Society.
She will be greatly missed by her children, grandchildren, and
great-grandchildren.
A funeral mass will be held at 11AM at Holy Family Catholic Church-Stanley with
Father William Felix officiating. Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 PM on Monday at the Plombon Funeral Home with a 7:30
PM Rosary and Tuesday morning
one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
