Winger, Billie Jean (15 AUG 1970)
Miss Billie Jean Winger became the bride of Vern Brandt Freemore in a five p.m.
marriage ceremony performed at St. John Lutheran Church, West DePere, Wisconsin,
on Saturday, August 15, 1970.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred J. Winger of Green Bay,
Wisconsin, and Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Freemore, Seymour, Wisconsin.
Mrs. Avid Lawrence, Austin, Texas, was her sister’s matron of honor, and
bridesmaids were: Miss Sharon Sundet, Burnsville, Minnesota, and Miss Janis Zube,
Sheboygan, Wisconsin, both friends of the bride.
Gerald Bernardo, Milwaukee, served as best man, and groomsmen were: Steve
VanVuren, Seymour, and Less Raddatz, Clintonville, all friends of the groom.
Users were: Paul Maki, Sheboygan and Kent Abel, Black Creek.
A reception for 175 guests was held at the Coliseum Room. Bilottis Forum.
The bride attended Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) Grade School, Seymour High School,
and Luther College, Decorah, Iowa, graduating in May of 1970 with a B.A. and
majors in French and English. The groom attended Seymour public schools,
Lakeland College, Plymouth, graduating in May of 1970 with a B.A., major in
History.
After a wedding trip through several southern states, the new couple will reside
at 1509 A.S. Palmetto St., Apt. B, Marshfield, Wisconsin, where both will be
teaching in the Marshfield Public school system this fall.
