Malaszuk, Delores Rose (2 SEP 1970)
St. Hedwig's Catholic Chapel, Thorp, was the setting for the marriage ceremony
of Delores Rose Malaszuk and Robert Lee Gardner on Saturday, September 2, 1970.
Reverend William Matzek performed the two p.m. service.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Malaszuk of Thorp (Clark Co.,
Wis.), and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Gardner, Greenwood.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a floor length bridal gown in
the Edwardian style of import rayon organza over taffeta, with high neckline and
bishop sleeves. Venetian lace and white satin ribbons were over the complete
gown and also over the detachable Watteau train. Her bouffant veil fell from a
Venetian lace Camelot. She carried multi-colored mums in the shape of a cross,
with long flowing white ribbons.
Kathleen Barth was her sister's matron of honor, and bridesmaids were: Carole
Gulczinski, Wendy Miller, Judy Gardner, and Ruth Briski. They wore rainbow
colored gowns of georgette over lace and taffeta with bateau neckline and bishop
sleeves. A matching flor petaled Camelot headpiece with a small veil completed
their ensemble. Each carried three large mums in white and one to match the
color of their dress, with multi-colored ribbons.
Linda Malaszuk and Robert Malaszuk, cousins of the bride, were flower girl and
ring bearer.
Raymond Klapatauskas, friend of the groom, was best man, and groomsmen were:
Raymond Gardner, John Gardner, Gerald Gardner, and Steve Krych. Ushers were
Edwin Barth and David Pakiz, brothers-in-law of the bride and groom,
respectively.
A reception, supper and dance were held at the Thorp Legion Hall.
The bride,, a 1965 graduate of Thorp High School, is employed with Clark
Electric Cooperative, Greenwood. The groom, a 1965 graduate of Greenwood High
School, is employed with Cooperative Services, Greenwood.
After a wedding trip the the Bad Lands, the new Mr. and Mrs. Gardner will make
their home in Greenwood.
