Matousek, Louis (3 October 1884 – 2 September 1974)
Funeral services were to be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. from the Georgas Funeral
Home for a longtime Town of Levis farmer, Louis Matousek, 89, of Rt. 3,
Neillsville, who died September 2. The Rev. Ralph Walker was to officiate, and
burial was to follow in the Dells Dam Cemetery in the Town of Levis.
The son of Frank and Mary (Sebesta) Matousek, Louis Matousek was born October 3,
1884, in Czechoslovakia, and was educated there. He came to the United States
with his family in 1906. His marriage to the former Barbara Satava, who died in
1933, took place in 1911. He was then married to the former Ruzena Divoky in
1935; she died in March of this year.
Mr. Matousek farmed in the Town of Levis for many years and had entered Memorial
Home a month ago because of failing health. He was a member of the Western
Fraternal Life Association.
Survivors include two sons, Jerry Koranda of Rt. 3 Neillsville, and Louis
Matousek, Jr., address unknown; and one granddaughter, Mrs. Tom (Rose) Tibbett
of Menasha.
