Miller, Iris (21 July – 4 September 1974)

Mrs. Elmer (Iris) Miller of Greenwood died Wednesday evening, September 4, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.

Mrs. Miller, the former Iris Ione Gorsegner, daughter of Carl and Agnes (Poppe) Gorsegner, was born July 21, 1933, in Clark County. She attended the Redville School.

She was married August 20, 1951, to Elmer Miller in Withee. The Miller’s reside on a farm 3½ miles northeast of Greenwood.

Surviving are her husband and two sons; Vernon and Raymond, at home, and her father, Carl Gorsegner of Greenwood.

Funeral services were held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. from Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Greenwood. The Rev. David Wenger officiated. Burial was made in Riverside Cemetery, Withee.

Pallbearers were: Holly Vetterkind, Gerald Steffen, Mike Vetterkind, Eugene Steffen, Andy Miller, and Charles Steffen.

The congregation sang, “Abide with Me,” and “I Know My Redeemer Liveth,” accompanied on the organ by Mrs. Don Warner.
