November Junior Kiwanian
Charity Hribar
As “a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one
child and one community at a time,” Kiwanis puts great value on the achievements
of youth, and seeks out opportunities to help them succeed in their pursuits.
With this mission in mind, The Neillsville Kiwanis Club proudly continues its
Junior Kiwanian program, which has spotlighted the outstanding talents,
commitment, and achievements of local high school students for the past 50
years.
The club welcomes Neillsville High School senior student Charity Hribar as its
Junior Kiwanian for the month of November. She is the daughter of Lori Murphy
and Richard Hribar, and was introduced to the club at the Nov. 6 meeting.
A strong academic background characterizes Hribar’s high school years. She is a
member of the National Honor Society, and the Spanish Honor Society, has served
on Student Council four years, served as a class officer and is a current
Spanish Club officer. Hribar is in STEM Club, is a BLAST member, belongs to the
History Club, and has participated in the High Quiz Bowl. Additionally, she has
received academic letter awards, and achieved straight A honor roll. Other
activities include band, where she received all-conference honors, and
participated in solo and ensemble, and volleyball for four years.
Following graduation next spring, she has plans to attend Concordia University
in Mequon, and is still exploring career options.
The community can take great pride in students like Charity Hribar, who use
their talents to make the most of their high school years, and prepare
themselves to be active, and productive leaders of tomorrow. The members of the
club welcome her as Junior Kiwanian, and wish her the best in her future
endeavors.
