Korth, Fred A. (7 FEB 1893 – 9 FEB 1973)
Fred A. Korth, 80, 107 Wendel St., Spencer, passed away last Friday, February 9,
1973, at 4 a.m., at his home. Funeral services were held at the Trinity Lutheran
Church, Spencer, Sunday, February 11, at 2 p.m. Burial was in the North Spencer
Cemetery. Rev. Wm. Ruhbusch officiated.
Rux Funeral home, Spencer, was in charge of arrangements.
Fred Korth was born in the Town of Brighton (Marathon Co., Wis.), February 7,
1893. He was educated in the Town of Brighton. He was a World War I Veteran.
He married Laura Voelker November 6, 1919 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Spencer.
The couple farmed in the Town of Spencer for 27 years and then moved to Spencer
in 1946, where they have resided ever since. He was active in the Trinity
Lutheran Church as a Trustee and other positions..
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Charles (Arvilla)
Miller of Colby; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs.
Frank Oelrich, and Mrs. Louise Cramer, Colby, and one brother, Mr. Ernest Korth
of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters, and his parents, the
late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Korth Sr.
