Austin, Jody Lynn (Carl) (17 MAR 1967 - 30 NOV 2017)

Jody Lynn Austin, age 50, of Stratford passed away peacefully late Thursday, Nov. 30, 2017, at her home.

Visitation was held at Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home in Marshfield, from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2017, and a memorial service followed at 12 p.m. Burial took place at Hillside Cemetery in Stratford at 2:15 p.m.

Jody was born March 17, 1967, in Ulysses, Kan. She was the daughter of Robert and Patricia (Stangl) Carl. She graduated from Stratford High School. On, Sept. 3, 1988, Jody was united in marriage to the love of her life, Keith Austin, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Stratford.
In her spare time, she enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren, spending time with her close family and friends, going for walks, attending concerts, gardening, baking and vacationing. Those who knew Jody best will miss her selflessness and compassion for helping others.

Jody is lovingly survived by her husband, Keith; daughters, Brittany Austin and Haley (Ben) Frombach; grandchildren, Braelynn Marron and Hawkins Frombach; mother, Patricia (Stangl) Carl; sister, Pam (Alan) Leonhardt. She is further survived by her mother and father-in-law, Leonard and Patricia Austin; brothers-in-law, Dennis Austin, Dave (Diane) Austin and Greg (Meghan) Austin; godchildren, Jay (Amber) Leonhardt, Dustin (Courtney) Bauman and Hunter Austin; nieces, Brenda (Blake) Kotiza and Dani Austin; nephews, Derek Austin and Andrew Austin; great-niece, Allie Leonhardt; great-nephew, Deegan Leonhardt. She will be truly missed by all that knew her and will be in our hearts forever.

Jody is predeceased by her father, Robert Carl; and sister, Jill Carl.
