Haroldson, Thomas “Tom” J. (4 DEC 1955 - 19 NOV 2017)

Thomas “Tom” J. Haroldson, 61, Hudson, surrounded by family, passed away Sunday, Nov. 19, 2017, at Pine Ridge Assisted Living.

Tom was born Dec. 4, 1955, in Chippewa Falls, to Thomas and Doris (Rucks) Haroldson.
He attended Cornell Elementary School and graduated from Cornell High School with the Class of 1974. Tom furthered his education at District One Technical Institute and obtained his associate’s degree in precision inspection. He worked as a supervisor for Unisys in Roseville, Minn., and a plant manager at Bermo Inc. in Circle Pines, Minn.

Tom married the love of his life, Shari Manor, Sept. 23, 1978, in Cornell, and together, they were blessed with six children.

He was a Chevy man, and enjoyed the challenge of refinishing and maintaining cars. Tom was an excellent hunter and enjoyed spending time with his family hunting in one of God’s greatest creations, the woods of northern Wisconsin.

He loved going to Cornell, riding four-wheelers on the numerous trails, roasting marshmallows and enjoying fresh cheese curds with family while sharing timeless stories.

Tom’s passion was to reach everyone around him to share the love of Jesus, which is why he participated in several missionary trips to Mexico, Germany, Belgium and Switzerland, to share the good news. He always had just the right words to encourage others in need and would listen to them intently.

The two most important things in Tom’s life were his family, and sharing the message of Christ’s love and forgiveness with others. He treasured the time he spent with his wife, children and grandchildren. He was a one-of-a-kind guy, with a generous heart who will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his wife – Shari; children – Stacy (Mike) Warner, Beth (Matt) Gramoll, Gabe (Christie) Haroldson, Mary (Eric) Peterson, Abigail Haroldson and Andrea (Sebastian) Pulfrey; grandchildren – Lola, Ella, Isaiah, Sophia, Sawyer, Gabriel Jr., Avary, Noah, Archer, Carter and Samson; mother – Doris Haroldson; siblings – Timothy (Sue) Haroldson and Tammy Haroldson; and numerous cousins, aunts and uncles whom he loved deeply.

He was preceded in death by his father – Thomas K. Haroldson; and his grandparents – Robert and Gertrude Rucks, and Helmer Haroldson and Grannie Tosh.

Visitation for Tom was from 4-7 p.m., Friday, Nov. 24, at O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson. Services were at 10 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 25, at Faith Community Church in Hudson, with a visitation one hour prior. Interment will be at the Cornell Cemetery.

O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson is assisting the family.
