Holzem, John J. (3 MAR 1955 - 3 DEC 2017)
John J. Holzem 62, Eau Claire, died unexpectedly Sunday December 3, 2017 at
Sacred Heart Hospital, Eau Claire, WI.
He was born March 3, 1955 in Wausau, the son of the late Donald and Phyllis (Glasel)

John was able to lead a fulfilling life because of the advocacy of his father
Donald Holzem and his guardian Dennis Holzem; along with the assistance of The
Arc Eau Claire and Aurora Residential Services.
John loved his mother’s home cooked meals. He enjoyed a lifelong hobby of

proudly on lanyards. He also enjoyed building with Legos, watching the Green Bay
Packers and Brewers games, Western movies and listening to country music. Most
of all he loved spending time with his family. John leaves behind many wonderful
caregivers that provided love and support that enhanced his quality of life.
Survivors include his siblings, his devoted guardian Dennis (Sally) Holzem,
Schofield, Theresa (David Milbradt) Holzem, Madison, William (Lisa) Holzem,
Wausau, Donna Holzem, Madison, Annie Krupnow, Coloma, Polly (Lee Cloutier)
Holzem, Wausau, Jacqueline (John) Wantlin, Withee, Eddie (Jennifer) Holzem,
Greenville. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and
cousins.
John was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Mary Claire.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Monday December 11, 2017 at

Entombment will be in Holy Angels Mausoleum, Wausau. Visitation will be on
Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302
Sixth Street, Wausau, and again on Monday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of
