Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Elmhorst, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. William Elmhorst,
returned home from a 2 1/2 week vacation trip, which took them through 16 states
and covered 7,000 miles. They visited cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Art Lichtke at
Boulder, Colorado, and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Stober at Denver, and also relatives
and friends at South Chicago and Hemet, California. They enjoyed beautiful
weather all the way and seemed to miss the snowstorms that had hit in places.
The real thrill of the trip was seeing the Redwood Forests in California, and
how these large trees are handled and hauled. Both of the Elmhorst men are
woodmen here, so they found this especially interesting.
