Tuesday forenoon the officers of the United Methodist Women of the York Center
Methodist Church, Violet Mechelke, Jane Bartsch, Flossie Schmidtke, and Alice
Benedict met at the Flossie Schmidtke home to arrange a program to be held on
Good Friday at the church.
The Sew $so Homemakers met Tuesday afternoon with Lucy Hetzel to make Easter
tray favors for Memorial Hospital at Neillsville. Forty-three small Easter
baskets were made. A potluck dinner was enjoyed first.
Mr. and Mrs. Donald Pinkerton and family of Oshkosh spent Thursday evening and
Friday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Nyle Benedict.
Mr. and Mrs. Earl Falconer entertained the following guests at dinner Easter,
Miss Elaine Falconer of Madison and Leroy Collinson and family.
Myrtle Davis and family had Easter dinner with her daughter and family, Mr. and
Mrs. William Wolf, at Nekoosa.
Mrs. Freda Frischman and sister, Mrs. Bernice Tucker, spent Easter with their
brother, John Wiercynski and wife at Marshfield.
