Schmidt, Duane "Pat" (17- Mar1930 – 3 MAY 1973)

Duane "Pat" Schmidt, 43, Rt. 1, Box 231B, Pittsville, was electrocuted at 12:45 p.m. Thursday, May 3, 1973, when he fell into electric power lines while setting up a prefabricated home at a site three miles northeast of Rhinelander.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 5, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, with burial in St. Anthony's Cemetery (Loyal, Clark Co., Wis.). Celebrant for the mass was Rev. Jerome Hoeser, Wausau, and co-celebrants were Rev. Norbert . King, Loyal, and the Rev. Thomas Abraham, Wausau.

Full military rites were (…..some of the article was missing from my copy….) p.m. Friday.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Michael and Thomas, both at home; and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Schmidt, Marshfield.

He was preceded in death by one son.
