Witte, Lynn Elaine (May 1973)
The former Miss Lynn Elaine Witte, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hubert R. Witte,
Route 2, Colby (Clark Co., Wis.), was given in marriage by her father to the son
of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Ellenbecker, Unity, during a 2 p.m. ceremony in St.
Paul's Lutheran Church, North Green Grove (Clark Co.), witht eh Rev. Arthur
Rasch officiating.
Miss Marsha Lynn was organist and soloist was Mrs. Dorothy Neuman.
The bride selected a gown of white sheer nylon and Venice lace with Juliet cap
to hold a chapel mantilla veil. White carnations and red roses were in the
bouquet she carried.
Miss Jeanne Witte, Route 2, Colby, the maid of honor, and Miss Lynette
Ellenbecker, Route 1, Unity, and Miss Sandra Witte, Route 2, Colby, as
bridesmaids, donned blue dotted Swiss princess style formals for the occasion.
Each carried a bouquet of white and pink carnations and rosebuds.
Pat Ellenbecker, Route 1, Unity, was best man; Robert Witte, Route 2, Colby, and
Harry Ellenbecker, Route 1, Unity, were groomsmen, and ushering were Bruce
Witte, Colby, and Gary Ellenbecker, Dorchester.
The wedding reception and supper took place in the church basement, and a dance
was held at the Unity Memorial Hall.
Mrs. Ellenbecker, a 1972 graduate of Colby High School, has been a receptionist
for Packaging Corporation of America in Colby, and her husband, a 1967 graduate
of Colby High School, is a meat cutter at Koller's Super Valu in Marshfield.
After a wedding trip, they will live at 220 South Second Street, Colby.
