Bazatta, Mildred Minnie “Millie” (DeLasky) (10 FEB 1941 - 7 DEC 2017)
Mildred Minnie “Millie” Bazatta, 76, Phillips, Town of Worcester, died in the
Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield on Thursday, December 7, 2017.
She was born on February 10, 1941, in Phillips, the daughter of Michael and
Minnie (Schweikert) DeLasky. She was a 1960 graduate of the Phillips High
School. She was married to Clement Bazatta on October 19, 1963, in Phillips.
She was employed as a Custodian by Price Electric Cooperative, and later by the
Georgia Pacific Corporation. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of
Phillips, of the Trinity Lutheran Church Ladies Quilting Group, and very active
with her clothing ministry, providing clothing for the homeless in Minneapolis,
and later for the Christian Aid Ministry of Thorp. I her free time she enjoyed
quilting, flower gardening, and taking care of her yard.
She is survived by two children, Charles “Chuck” (Diane Bouska), Phillips, and
Kelly (Phil) Chapman, Phillips; by two grandchildren, Courtney and Katie; and by
eight brothers and sisters, Edgar (Jean) DeLasky, Phillips, Arlene Elmers, Park
Falls, Marion Delasky, Phillips, Melvin “Butch” (Marion) DeLasky, Phillips,
Mickael (Violet) DeLasky, Ashland, Allan (Nila) DeLasky, Prentice, Bob (Cookie)
DeLasky, Phillips, Judy Duhr, Pike Lake, and Jean (Lee) Belan, Phillips.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clem, on April 1, 2011.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, December 11, at the first
Baptist Church in Phillips with Pastor Keith Hurlbut officiating. Interment will
be in the Lakeside Cemetery in Phillips. Friends may call at the church on
Monday from 9:30 A.M. until the time of services.
