Rites Held Today For Mrs. Creaser.
Mrs. John Creaser, 83-year-old town of Pershing resident, died Tuesday at St.
Joseph's hospital, Chippewa Falls.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today, Thursday, at Zion Lutheran
Church, Gilman, with Rev.Willis Schwichtenberg officiating. Interment will take
place at the Donald Cemetery.
The body lay in state at the Gilman funeral home.
The former Minnie A. Goebel was born January 2, 1893 at Downsville and was
married there January 19, 1911to John Creaser, who died in 1954.
They moved to the Donald area in 1923 where they farmed for many years. Mrs.
Creaser was also employed as a cook at the Donald School for numerous years. She
was a member of Zion Lutheran church and the Cotta Guild.
Surviving her are three sons, Lewis, Donald, Charles, Cadott, and Russell,
Billing, Mont.; four daughters, Lucille, Mrs. Earl Englebretson, Gilman, route
2, Doris, Mrs. Joe Hammen, Sheldon, Mrs. Jerene Lucas, Kenosha, and Catherine,
Mrs. Willis Couillard, Round Lake, Ill.; a sister, Mrs. Nellie Stevens, Eau
Claire, 17 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Two brothers and a sister also preceded her in death.
