Lechleitner, Albert Clark (26 NOV 1946 - 7 SEP 2016)

Albert Clark Lechleitner, 69, our loving husband, father and grandpa entered eternal life on Sept. 7, 2016 after battling Parkinson's disease for nearly 20 years. Throughout his illness, he never once complained about the hand dealt to him, but persevered with patience, faith and strength with his wife beside him every step of the way.

Clark was born on Nov. 26, 1946 in Ladysmith to Steven and Isabelle (Lemburg) Lechleitner. He grew up in the Donald area, where he resided most of his life until recently moving to the Holcombe area, and graduated from Gilman High School in 1964. On Jan. 13, 1968 he married the love of his life, Judy Strop.

For 39 years, Clark owned and operated Lechleitner Builders, Inc. He took pride in his work and many of his customers became friends. As a member of the CVHBA, his homes were often showcased in the annual Parade of Homes tour. For nine years he served as a school board member for the Gilman School District. In addition, he was a former member of St. Joseph's Parish Council and the Town of Ruby board.

Clark always enjoyed a good party and was often willing to host such events as pig roasts, Halloween and birthday parties, to which anyone and everyone was welcome. He had a contagious smile and hearty laugh that he shared often. His family was most important to him and always came first. The respect he gave to others, business acquaintances, customers, friends, employees, even strangers, will not be forgotten. Clark could make a friend anywhere.

In addition to his wife, Judy, of nearly 49 years, Clark is survived by his daughters, Lisa (Paul) Romanowski and Lori (Mark) Abramowicz; his son, Chad (Jenna) Lechleitner; six granddaughters, Emily and Jordyn Abramowicz, Paige Romanowski, Megan, Brooke and Emma Lechleitner; three siblings, Milford (Sonja) Lechleitner, Marlene (Joe) Gallick and Steve (Sandy) Lechleitner; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerry (Judy) Lebrick, Jim Litwin, Peggy (Gary) Anderson, Bonnie (Jim) Zich, Jeff (Wendi) Strop; mother-in-law, Yvonne Strop; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceding Clark in death were his parents, Steve and Isabelle Lechleitner; sisters, Marcia Lebrick and Carrol Litwin; brother, Bruce; father-in-law, Edward Strop and brother-in-law, Douglas Strop.

Funeral services were held on Monday, Sept. 12 at 11 a.m. at St. John's Catholic Church in Sheldon with burial in the Donald Cemetery. Father Gerard Willger officiated.
