Arlon R. Schmidt, 85, town of Stettin, died Thursday, Dec. 7, 2017, at his home.
He was born Dec. 18, 1931, on the family farm, son of the late Walter and Lydia

Arlon attended Marathon High School and following his marriage to Delphine, they
worked together on their dairy farm in Stettin and grew ginseng for almost 40
years. Among his favorite pastimes, he enjoyed playing sheepshead, drinking a
cold Miller beer and dining out with Delphine. Arlon loved logging and working
in the woods and spent many peaceful hours in his Caterpillar.
Arlon was very faithful and generous in many ways and was a lifelong member of
Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and
great-grandfather and will be deeply missed.
