Jeras, Joseph Sr. (16 MAR 1904 – 16 MAY 1973)

Joseph Jeras, formerly of this area, died in a hospital in Lyons, Illinois, Wednesday morning following a heart attack.

He was born in Germany March 16, 1904. When he was very young, his family moved to Springfield, Ill., where they lived until 1919, when they moved to a farm north of Willard (Clark Co., Wis.). When he was a young man, he went to Chicago to work.

On September 21, 1935, in Chicago, he was married to Angeline Tolaney. They settled in Lyons, Illinois and lived there for thirty-eight years.

His wife survives him, also a daughter Carol (Mrs. David Balas) of Westmont, and a son, Joe Jeras of Lyons, Ill.

The following brothers and sisters survive him: Mr. Frank Jeras of Chino, Calif.; Mr. Tony Jeras of Hodgkin, Ill.; Mrs. Victor (Johanna) Klarich of Peoria, Ill.; Mrs. Frank (Catherine) Tratar of No. Riverside, Ill.; Mrs. Victor (Mary) Ceferin of La Grange, Ill. He is also survived by five grandchildren, His parents, and one ….(the rest of my copy was cut off)
