Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Braun of Rural Route 2, Spencer, Wisconsin, announce the engagement f their daughter, Miss Karen Lorraine Braun, to Richard J. Ratchman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard R. Ratchman, Box 196, Butte des Morts, Wisconsin.

Miss Braun, a 1973 graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh, received a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing, and has accepted a position as a registered nurse at Riverview Hospital, Wisconsin Rapids.

Mr. Ratchman is also a 1973 graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh, with a B.A.E. degree in Art Education, and is an affiliate of Kappa Delta PI Honorary Education Society. He served in the U.S. Army for three years as a motion picture and new photographer. Mr. Ratchman will be teaching at West Junior High, Wisconsin Rapids.

The couple is planning their marriage for September 15, 1973 at St. Anthony's Church, Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.).
