Schmidt, Frances Barbara (12 August 1917 - 12 December 2017)

Frances B. Schmidt, age 100, of Neillsville, WI died on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at Riverside Assisted Living in Neillsville.


Frances Barbara Wolf was born on August 12, 1917 in Marshfield, WI the daughter of William and Katherine (Petrack) Wolf. She was united in marriage to Gerald Schmidt on Sept 22, 1938 in Bakerville, WI.


She is survived by a son, Gerald (Mary Ann) Schmidt of Fenton, MI and a daughter, Susan (Tim) Wells of Neillsville. Five Grandchildren, Kristen Olson, Paul Lonning, David Schmidt, Andy Schmidt, and Jeff Schmidt and three Great Grandchildren, Brooklyn, Austin, and Logan. She will also be missed by her caregiver and special friend, Angie Ziegler.


Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald, sons; Lee and Brian Schmidt, a daughter-in-law, Judy Schmidt and a grandson, Jason Schmidt. She was also preceded in death by sisters; Dorothy Miller, Rose Rondorf, Margaret Schill, and brothers; Frank Wolf, Gregor Wolf, Arnold Wolf, and Harry Wolf.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 15, 2017 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Neillsville along with visitation being held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Friday morning prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. Rev. Varkey V. Joseph will officiate. St. Mary’s Choir and Vicente Cortez will provide music.


The family would like to thank Riverside Assisted Living for the great care shown to Frances.
