Second Lieutenant David M. Pakiz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank A. Pakiz, R.R. 1,
Greenwood (Clark Co.), Wisconsin, has been awarded his silver wings at Vance
AFB, Oklahoma, upon graduation from U.S. Air Force pilot training.
Lieutenant Pakiz is being assigned to Shaw AFB, South Carolina, where he will
fly the RF 4 with a unit of the Tactical Air Command, which provides air support
for U.S. ground forces.
The lieutenant, a 1968 graduate of Greenwood High School, earned his B.S. degree
in mathematics in 1972 at the University of Wisconsin at Superior, and was
commissioned there through the Air Force Reserve Officers Training Corps
program.
Lieutenant Pakiz's wife, Betty, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Gardner,
R.R. 3, Greenwood (Clark Co.), Wisconsin.
