Andreshak, Lucinda “Cindy” J. (Powers) (19 JUN 1925 - 15 DEC 2017)
Lucinda “Cindy” J. Andreshak (Powers), age 92, of Edgar, passed away surrounded
by her family on Friday, Dec. 15, 2017, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 22,
2017, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in the town of Cassel. Rev. Felix Tigoy
will be the celebrant with Rev. Robert Streveler concelebrating. Burial will
take place in the parish cemetery. Family and friends are invited to gather on
Friday at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
The honor of pallbearer belongs to her grandchildren, Jason Imhoff, Chad Schara,
Michael Andreshak, Brian Andreshak, Rick Andreshak and Jody Schara.
Cindy was born on June 19, 1925, to Thomas and Josephine (Schneck) Powers in
Wausau. She graduated from Wausau East in 1943. On Nov. 9, 1946, she was united
in marriage to Louis Andreshak. Sadly, Louis passed away on July 23, 1992. Cindy
and Louis resided in Edgar. Her employment included Color Vision and waitressing
at Millers, Hotel Wausau, Village Inn and later retired from Hacks Diner in
1992.
Her hobbies included gardening, flower gardening, cutting lawn with Cindy often
stating “I could sit on that lawn mower all day.” reading, babysitting the
grandkids, walking two miles a day in the “good days,” and throwing numerous
parties. Cindy was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and for a time, was
the president of the Sacred Heart Holy Rosary Society.
Cindy is survived by her children, Vernon (Joann) Andreshak of Indiana, Kay
(Marvin) Schara of Marathon, Terrance Andreshak of Edgar, Debra (Norman) Fischer
of Marathon, Marsha (Henry) Imhoff of Marathon and Todd Andreshak of Edgar; and
her sisters-in-law, Edna Powers of Wausau and Dominic Andreshak of Milwaukee.
She is further survived by her 15 grandchildren, Micahel (Kerri) Andreshak,
Brian Andreshak, Laura (Karl) Deitzel, Jody (Cheryl) Schara, Chad (Christine)
Schara, Angel Hanke, Jennifer (Tim) Jacobson, Michelle Fischer, Holly (Brenard)
Beamon, Rick (Trace) Andreshak, Jamie (Dave) Schraufnagel, April Imhoff, Jason
Imhoff, Ashley Andreshak and Amanda (Ben) Hammerstrom; and her 15
great-grandchildren, Troy, Karissa, Alexander, Ethan, Cameron, Greyson, Logan,
Carter, Jaden, Allie, Colin, Parker, Kade, McKenna and Connor; along with many
other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Louis; their son,
Timothy; their daughter, Judith; and her three brothers and four sisters.
Her arrangements are under the care of Life Tributes Funeral Home–Spencer.
