Gustavson, Hayden J. (6 NOV 2002 - 8 DEC 2017)

Hayden J. Gustavson, 15, of Holcombe, passed away Friday, December 8, 2017, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire.

He was born on November 6, 2002, in Chippewa Falls to Mary (Jerome) Schmidt and Joseph Gustavson.

Hayden was attending school at Lake Holcombe where he was a freshman.

Hayden enjoyed playing football and video games; and helping neighbors with firewood. He loved off-roading on UTV’s, rolling the RZR, and just hanging out with his many friends.
Hayden’s final act was to provide the gift of life to many through organ and tissue donation.

He is survived by his mother, Mary of Holcombe; father, Joe of Kettle Moraine, WI; step-father, Dan Schmidt of Stanley, WI; maternal grandparents, Roger Jerome of Holcombe and Juanita Jerome of Chippewa Falls; paternal grandmother, Diane Gustavson of Chippewa Falls; maternal great-grandmother, Mary Jennejohn of Lublin, WI; sister, Alexandra Johnson of Cornell, WI; Auntie and Uncle, Rita and Lynn Weingarten of Holcombe; and by many more aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Hayden was preceded in death by his brother, Isaac.

A candle light vigil will be held Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Staudacher Field in Holcombe at 4 p.m.

Memorial Services will be held Sunday, December 10, 2017 at New Hope Church in Cornell at 3 p.m. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the time of service at church.

Chippewa Valley Cremation Services in Altoona is serving the family.
