Kluetz, Daniel Thomas (13 AUG 1953 - 23 DEC 2017)
Daniel Thomas Kluetz, 64, Wausau, died Saturday, December 23, 2017 at Aspirus
Wausau Hospital.
Dan was born August 13, 1953 in Wausau to the late Alfred and Dorothy (Myska)
Kluetz. After having known Kim (Syring) Cronce for many years, the couple
married on June 10, 2006 at St. Paul United Church of Christ.
Dan worked for many years as a custodian at the Marathon County Courthouse. Dan
was a kind and caring man who dearly loved his family. Throughout his life, he
often sacrificed his time to care for family when they were ill. Dan’s genuine
laughter was infectious to those around him and he enjoyed joking with friends
and coworkers. At home, he was an excellent cook and took meticulous care of his
surroundings. Enjoying the simpler things in life, Dan loved spending the
evening shooting pool and drinking a beer with Kim at home. He also enjoyed
spending time doing yard work and riding around the yard on his riding lawn
mower. For many years, Dan had his four-legged companion, Shiloh, accompany him
everywhere he went and for many walks through Marathon Park.
Dan is survived by his beloved wife of 11 years, Kim; step-children, David
(Shannon) Cronce and Krissy (Brent) Dabler; grandchildren, Aubrey, Owen, Summer,
Autumn and Madalyn; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his siblings, Richard, Tom, Carol Krahn and infant
brother, Donald Thomas.
The funeral service for Dan will be at 6:00 PM on Friday, December 29, 2017 at
Helke Funeral Home, Wausau. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM until the time of
service on Friday. Burial will be at a later date in Pine Grove Cemetery.
Helke Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements; you may sign
our family guestbook at www.helke.com.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
A sincere word of thanks goes to Dan’s many friends and coworkers with the
Marathon County Sherriff’s Department and 911 staff for their years of kind
friendship.
