Raatz, Mark R. (12 MAR 1961 - 22 DEC 2017)
Mark R. Raatz, age 56, of Stetsonville passed away on Friday, December 22, 2017
at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at
Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford. Interment will follow at
Stetsonville Public Cemetery. Family and friends are welcome from 2:00 p.m.
until 6:00 p.m. on Friday, December 29 and from 10:00 a.m. until time of service
Saturday all at the funeral home.
The honor of pallbearers belongs to Chris Oleson, Kyle Raatz, Cori Oleson,
Coleton Raatz, Drogun Oleson and Travis Hemmer.
Mark was born March 12, 1961, the son of Bernard and Alice Raatz. He graduated
from Colby High School. On July 12, 1993, Mark was united in marriage to Shelly
Oleson in Medford.
Mark worked as a supervisor at Parrett Windows in Dorchester and loved his job.
He was an avid motorcycle rider, enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. Most
importantly, Mark cherished his family.
Mark is survived by his wife, Shelly of Stetsonville; four sons: Chris Oleson of
Medford, Kyle Raatz of Stetsonville, Cori Oleson of Dorchester and Coleton Raatz
of Stetsonville; five grandsons: Dominic, Chad, Michael, Owen and Hunter. He is
further survived by three brothers and one sister: Joann Hildebrandt of New
Holstein, Rick (Onie) Raatz of Colby, Dale (Carol) Raatz of Colby and Larry
(Connie) Raatz of Stevens Point; his mother-in-law, Bonnie Oleson of
Stetsonville; many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; numerous nieces, nephews,
cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Dorothy Denzine and his
father-in-law, John "Jack" Oleson.
