Stoker, Phoebe V. (27 AUG 1875 – 9 NOV 1970)
Mrs. Phoebe V. Stoker, 95, passed away Monday, November 9, 1970 at New Glarus
Nursing Home. Funeral services were held Wednesday, November 11, 1970, eleven
a.m. at Plymouth Congregational, Madison, Wisconsin. Burial was in the Roselawn
Memorial Park, Madison.
Mrs. Stoker was born August 27, 1875 at Arena, Wisconsin. She was Librarian at
the Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) High School, past president at Waukesha of the
William B. Cushing Women's Relief Corp. No. 64, Auxiliary to the Grand Army of
the Republic. She left Madison in 1962 and made her home with her daughter, Mrs.
O'Connor.
Surviving are: two daughters, Mrs. Joseph O'Connor of Arlington Heights,
Illinois, and Mrs. George Conant of Summerland Key, Florida; one
daughter-in-law, Mrs. Pauline Stoker Reublin of Madison; three sisters, Mrs.
Veronica Kargaard of Wheaton, Illinois, Mrs. Edith Mead of Waukesha, Wisconsin,
and Mrs. Genevieve Long of Marshall, Texas; one brother, William Villemonte of
Kimberling City, Missouri; eight grandchildren and twenty-five
great-grandchildren.
