Erick Kapfer Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Erick Kapfer, rural Thorp (Clark Co.,
Wis.), has just returned home from a six week vacation in Germany.
He flew on the jumbo jet 747 from O'Hare Field, Chicago, and landed in
Frankfort, Germany. From there he flew to Stuttgart, where he was greeted by his
cousin, Albert Horn, whom he has never met. Erick went from there to his
father's home town, Biberach, where he was greeted by aunts, uncles, and
cousins.
He then went to Nancy, France to greet more cousins, He then went to Berlin to
meet aunt, uncle and cousins. He has seen the Wall between West and East
Germany. Then he spent a week in Munich with his aunt and cousins.
He spent most of his vacation in the mountains of Tyrol, Austria. Erick plans to
go to Munich, Germany, where the World Olympics will be held in 1972. He has
already seen the completed tower, also the stadium, which is not completed at
the present time. Erick says this was a very educational experience for him.
