Hoffman, Josephine (1 JUL 1896 – 24 NOV 1970)

Josephine Hoffman, 74, of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis., passed away suddenly of a heart attack on Tuesday, November 24, 1970.

Josephine Slupski was born on July 1, 1896 in Chicago to the late Sophie and Stanley Slupski. She married June 16, 1920 to Frank Hoffman.

Survivors are: her husband, Frank; two sons, Donald of Port Byron, Illinois, and Raymond of Greenwood; five granddaughters, Linda, Cynthia, Debra, Janet, and Susan; three sisters, Anna Zaikowski, Elizabeth Bronars, Hattie Dymek, all of Chicago; and many nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by one son, Robert, mother, father, three brotehrs, Thomas, Leon, Lorris, and one sister, Edna Alfuth.

Funeral services were held at the Thorp Funeral Home and St. Hedwig's Chapel on Saturday, November 28th. Father William Matzek officiated at the 10 a.m. service, and burial was made in the Old St. Hedwig's Cemetery.

Pallbearers were: Raymond Kobylarczyk, Tony Peters, John Balcer, Malen Balicki, John Wnek, and Adam Wiater.
