Kowieski, S-Sgt. Paul L. (Military Notes -1974)

S-Sgt. Paul L. Kowieski, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Kowieski of Thorp, is assigned to a unit which has earned the air force organizational excellence award.

Sgt. Kowieski is an instrument mechanic with the range and data acquisition section in Ogden Air Logistics Center’s directorate of maintenance, Hill AFB, Utah, which received the high-ranking award for sustained superior performance from January 1, 1971, to November 1, 1973.

Personnel of the unique section were cited for their efforts in increasing the effectiveness, reliability, and life span of many sophisticated missile, weapon, and munition systems, thereby saving the Air Force millions of dollars

He will wear a special ribbon to mark his affiliation with the organization.

Sgt. Kowieski graduated in 1960 from Thorp High School.
