Buettner, Genrose Frances (Weisfeld) Czech (26 APR 1939 - 29 DEC 2017)
Genrose Frances Buettner, 78, died Friday, December 29, 2017. She was born on
April 26, 1939, in Spencer, the daughter of the late James S. and Della E. (Reiser)
Weisfeld. Genny’s
family moved to Hannibal area and attended Hannibal school.
On May 4, 1957 she was united in marriage to Anton Czech at Saints Peter & Paul
Catholic Church-Gilman. The couple farmed and raised their three children and
Genny also worked
at Drangle’s Cheese.
Tony died in 1988 and after her retirement 1996 she moved to the Sheboygan area.
She married Thomas J. Buettner on May 18, 1996 at SS Peter and Paul. The couple
lived together in Sheboygan and were active with Meals on Wheels and were active
at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic church in Sheboygan.
They loved their dogs! Thomas died on December 7, 2007. Genny moved to Chippewa
Falls to be closer to her children in 2014.
She is survived by three children, Tim (Tricia) Czech of Elk Mound, Donna
Gustavson of Medford and Darlene (Roger) Marquardt of Marion, WI, 11
grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren with one on the way, four brothers, Donald,
Warren, James and Frank Weisfeld and two sisters, Agnes Dassow and Theresa
Wiedemann. Genny is preceded in death by her parents, 1st husband Anton Czech,
2nd husband, Thomas Buettner, and her brothers Augustine and Valentine.
A funeral mass will be held at 11AM on Friday, January 5, 2018 at Saints Peter &
Paul Catholic Church-Gilman with Father Madanu Lourdu officiating. Burial will
follow in the Parish Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10AM until time of
service Friday at the Church.
Plombon Funeral Service-Gilman assisted the family.
