Lisa Alice Johnson, 91, of Ladysmith, died on Thursday, Nov. 2, 2017 at Care
Partners Assisted Living while surrounded by family and her minister, Pastor
Craig Zandi.
Lisa was born on May 11, 1926 in Chicago, Ill. to John and Ingeborg Sahlin. Lisa
and her family moved to Hawkins in 1931. She married Robert N. Johnson on Dec.
24, 1945, and they moved to Ladysmith in 1948.
Lisa was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Ladysmith, where she enjoyed
participating in many different activities, including quilting and Crafty
Stitchers.
She worked at Kiddie Gym and Conwed for many years and had many happy memories
of friendships made at both workplaces. In her free-time, she enjoyed gardening,
baking, putting together puzzles, card-making, and reading.
She also loved spending time with her family, and will always be remembered for
being a wonderful mother and grandmother.
Lisa is survived by her daughters, Dianna (Don) Josi of Ladysmith, Kathleen
(Myron) Reeves of Ladysmith and Roberta (Joe) Baye of Ladysmith; her
grandchildren, Lisa (Don) Gleason, Shawn Josi, Melissa (Keith) Holman, Sarah
Baye and Steve Baye; her great-grandchildren, Kayla (Tyler) Nazarenus, Tyler
Holman, Evan Holman and Lynnea Holman; and her great-great-grandchildren Svea
Nazarenus and Dustyn Holman.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her brothers, Clarence
and Nels Sahlin.
The family would like to thank the staff at Care Partners Assisted Living in
Ladysmith for the loving care provided to Lisa and the kindness shown to her
family. Thank you also to St. Croix Hospice for their care and assistance.
A Christian Funeral was held on Monday, Nov. 6 at St. John’s Lutheran Church.
Burial was at Riverside Cemetery in Ladysmith.
Nash-Jackan Funeral Home assisted the family with the arrangements.
